Mostly glabrous perennial, stems erect, 3-10 in., from slender rhizomes.
Leaves
Rosette leaves oblonceolate to spatulate, to 2 in. long, entire or denticulate. Stem leaves linear.
Flowers
Flowers erect, usually solitary, terminal, calyx without appendages, 1 in. across, funnelform-rotate.
Origin
Subalpine, Rocky Mountains, South Wyo to New Mexico and Arizona.
