+Velkou vyhodou zvonkú je, ze se nesnadno krizí a nemusíme mít ani u velkych sbírek obavy ze samovolné nezádoucí hybridisace, jako je tomu u mnoha junych rodú. Múzeme proto bez obav sbírat semena ze zahradních rostlin pro vlastní potrebu i pro vymény semen. Je vsak nutno dbát na správnou determinaci, protoze se prílis casto ve sbírkách vyskytují rostliny spatné urcené. Neznamená to, ze by byla hybridisace vyloucena.
