Perhaps not distinct from Campanula Elatines, but having stronger, more rampant growth, corolla to 1 ¼ in. across, broadly funnelform, calyx lobes lanceolate 6).
A prostrate, sprawling perennial which typically forms a low, mounding ground cover to 4-6“ tall (less frequently to 12”).7)
USDA Zone: 2-9. Plant number: 1.110.450. Bellflowers are among the most popular of perennials. This showy, dwarf species is often grown in rock gardens, used as an edging or for tubs and pots. Plants form a spreading patch of small green leaves, bearing loads of starry lavender-blue flowers in late spring. Because this is vigorous, keep it away from delicate alpine plants that could be accidentally smothered. Also may be used as a groundcover for a smaller area, especially nice under shrub roses. Clip back hard after blooming (to 2 inches) to maintain a tidy, compact appearance. Height; 10-15 cm, 4-6 inches. Spread; 45-60 cm, 18-23 inches. Growth Rate; Fast.8)

Cushion perennial to 20 cm tall with large, rounded at the edges serrated basal leaves. It produces up to 80 cm long, prostrate on the ground sprouts. Flowers to 2.5 cm in diameter zvezchatye lavender-pink, blue, dark blue, a few at the ends of shoots. It blooms from early July 35-40 days. 9)

Addenda ® comes from the Latin word 'Addendum' meaning. 'Something extra' This brand was introduced in 2003 by International Young Plants from Belgium. This company sold high quality cuttings of Campanula and Hebe. Addenda ® began as a quality brand has become a trademark. The cooperating Addenda ® growers and Youngplants International have Growers Addenda ® founded in January 2007. 1 January 2010 took these growers the trading brand Addenda ® over from cutting supplier Young Plants International. In this way they want to join forces, increasing the involvement and Addenda ® further introduce and make available in Europe. In 2013, Addenda introduced production lines. Where they used the 'Blue Planet', the 'Blue Star' etc. argued, they now have the 'Ambella'- color and 'Adansa'- color. They also introduced a new logo.

Serbian bellflower is a prostrate, sprawling perennial which typically forms a low, mounding ground cover to 4-6“ tall (less frequently to 12”). Campanulate, lilac-blue flowers with flaring, star-shaped lobes (to 1“ wide) appear in loose panicles along the stems in late spring. Long-stalked, oval-rounded to cordate, medium green leaves (to 1.5”). Native to the northern Balkans, including, as the common name suggests, Serbia. Rock gardens. Sprawl over walls or along banks. Edging for paths or border fronts. Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Prefers part shade in hot summer climates. Performs best with regular moisture. Does not do well in climates where nighttime temperatures consistently remain above 70 degrees F. Spreads quickly from root crowns by prostrate stems, but is generally easily controlled since stems can be easily trimmed to control growth. May be grown from seed. Clumps may be divided in spring. Foliage is semi-evergreen to evergreen in warm winter climates.36)

Campanula porscharskyana 'Stella' - Photographer: Missouri Botanic Garden

Breeder: G. Arends 1956.
Already the second year after the trial was started the ten plants had developed so much on both experimental stations that the rows were covered all over without interroption. For Campanula poscharskyana and not least for 'Stella' it is characteristic that the flowering part are growing up from the carpet and form some closely tangled irregular pyramids around the flowering seasons.

In 1973 they were 60cm high. The leaves are cordate, tje lower onse 4x4cm. They are sitting on 18cm high reddish stalks. During the overwhelming rich flowering the foliage is nearly covered by the long inflorescences. The flowers have an open starliked shape, 2cm wide. Colour: RHS 88 A-B, violet, blue, with a whitish throat and with an overhanging stigma.

Flowering season from the middle of June and 1 tot 1 1/2 months. The weather has on extraordinary strong influence on the look of all Campanula poscharskyana cultivars. Rain and windy weather will overturn the flower pyramides and leave a rather slovenly and rugged “Mountain scenery”. Nevertheless this quality cannot prevent that the variety 'Stella' occur as extraordinary attractive 37).

Breeding

Fruiting. In a culture since 1930. Grade: EN Campanula poscharskyana cv. 'Frost' - the flowers are white with a blue star in; Campanula poscharskyana cv. 'Stella' - Flowers large, deep blue.

Braves drop in temperature to -40 degrees. Propagated by segments of stems and roots in spring. It looks particularly close to major modes of cloves and saxifrage. Does not tolerate acidic soil and stagnant water. It prefers partial shade light.40)
