Hispid perennial to 6 in. or more.
Lower leaves obovate, narrowed at base to a winged petiole, upper leaves sessile, ovate, to 1 in. long, scarcely crenate.
Flowers erect, few in a more or less dichotomously branched, terminal influence, calyx with acute appendages, lobes broadly lanceolate, corolla violet-blue, about ½ in. long.
