Habitus

Somewhat tufted, glabrous perennial. 10-25cm high. Use in flowerbed, rockery, tuff, alpine meadow, scree.

Lower leaves long-petioled, cordate-ovate to lanceolate, to 3 in. long, acute, irregularly crenate-dentate, stem leaves sessile, linear. 1)

Flower stems slender, to 8 in., scapose, 1 to few-fld., calyx lobes with minute appendages, lobes spreading, triangular, to ¼ in. long, corolla purple-blue, dark purple to 1 in. long, broadly tubular-campanulate.2)
